The Orthometric Flexy Thermal NiTi Universal Form Rectangular Archwires combine heat activation with a rectangular section. Cold, the wire is malleable and easy to engage; above 35 °C it recovers its shape and begins delivering torque as well as levelling.
Key Features
Heat activated at 35 °C — inactive and easy to tie when cold
Rectangular section for torque and root control
Shape memory and constant force through the working range
High resistance to permanent deformation
Five rectangular sizes from .016″×.016″ to .021″×.025″

Clinical Applications
Torque expression with light continuous force
Intermediate treatment stages after initial alignment
Cases where a full-size steel wire would be too aggressive
Why Thermal in a Rectangular Wire?
A rectangular wire is the hardest to seat. Cooling it first lets you engage full-size torque earlier in treatment than a superelastic wire would allow.
