The Morelli Self-Ligating Passive Ceramic .022 Roth Brackets Single Patient Kit is a complete single-patient set of aesthetic self-ligating brackets in the Roth prescription. The clip closes flush against the slot without pressing on the archwire, so friction stays at a minimum and the wire slides freely through every bracket.
Key Features
Passive clip mechanism — the closed clip converts the slot into a tube without loading the archwire, keeping resistance to sliding at its lowest across all wire dimensions
Passive across the whole ceramic arch — every ceramic position in the kit uses a passive piece, so friction behaviour is uniform from incisors to canines
Alumina ceramic body — translucent, color-stable ceramic with a matte surface that blends with enamel and resists staining through long treatments
Nitinol clip — superelastic nickel-titanium clip with a simple open-and-close mechanism, operated chairside without separate instruments
Anti-Lock System — Morelli’s clip system, specially designed to prevent the clip from jamming due to plaque and tartar buildup, so it keeps opening and closing smoothly throughout the whole treatment
Bi-blasted and silanized base — treated bonding base for reliable adhesion and controlled debonding
Low-profile design — reduced bracket height and rounded contours for patient comfort and soft-tissue tolerance
Hooks on canines and premolars — integrated hooks on the canine and premolar positions for elastics and auxiliaries

Torque and Angulation
Upper central incisor (11/21): torque +12° · angulation +5° · length 3,6 mm
Upper lateral incisor (12/22): torque +8° · angulation +9° · length 2,9 mm
Upper canine (13/23): torque -2° · angulation +9° · length 3,3 mm

Upper second premolar (15/25): torque -7° · angulation 0° · length 3,3 mm
Lower central incisor (31/41): torque 0° · angulation 0° · length 2,7 mm
Lower lateral incisor (32/42): torque 0° · angulation 0° · length 2,7 mm
Lower canine (33/43): torque -11° · angulation +7° · length 3,3 mm
Lower first premolar (34/44): torque -17° · angulation 0° · length 3,0 mm
Lower second premolar (35/45): torque -22° · angulation 0° · length 3,0 mm
Clinical Applications
Initial alignment and levelling of crowded arches, where free wire sliding lets light forces work over long stretches of the arch
Sliding mechanics and space closure, where minimum resistance between wire and bracket keeps the required force low
Aesthetic cases with longer appointment intervals, since the clip holds the wire without elastic ligatures that stain or lose tension
Is your priority the lowest possible friction from start to finish?
Choose the passive version when sliding efficiency leads the case — the interactive kit trades some of that freedom for torque expression on heavier wires, and the hybrid kit does so on the incisors only.
