The Morelli Titanium Button Head Self-Drilling Mini Implant is a threaded dental implant intended to serve as an anchorage point for fixed orthodontic appliances, assisting controlled tooth movement and removed at the end of orthodontic treatment. It is installed through the gingiva by a simplified surgical procedure and fixed temporarily to the bone of the maxilla or mandible. Supplied sterile and intended for single use by a qualified orthodontic professional.

Clinical Applications

  • Temporary skeletal anchorage for components of the orthodontic appliance during controlled movement of dental elements in patients with malocclusions of dental and/or skeletal origin.

  • Insertion at sites that include maxillary tuberosities, the mandibular buccal portion, the mandibular retromolar area, buccal or lingual inter-radicular areas of the mandible or maxilla, and edentulous mandibular or maxillary alveolar ridges. The area below the anterior nasal portion, the mandibular symphysis, the palatal midline or sagittal region of the hard palate are indicated only for adults over 21 years of age, and the anterior palate requires attention to the screw length limitation.

  • Immediate loading applied perpendicular to the long axis of the mini implant, within the maximum orthodontic force of 300 gf.
