The Morelli Stainless Steel Button Head Self-Drilling Mini Implant is a temporary anchorage device (TAD) built for extra-radicular skeletal anchorage. Its stainless steel body offers greater resistance to bending and torsion forces than the titanium models of the same range, while the button head with a Ø0,8 mm transverse hole receives elastic chains, coil springs and ligatures tied directly to it.

Key Features

  • Self-drilling active tip — profile designed for stability, a secure fit in the bone texture and resistance for immediate orthodontic load

  • Button head with Ø0,8 mm hole — anchors elastic chains, coil springs and ligatures, and accepts auxiliary wires up to .021″ × .025″ (0,53 × 0,63 mm)

  • Stainless steel body — the mechanically strongest option in the Morelli mini screw line, resisting bending and torsion better than titanium

  • Extra-radicular indication — Ø2,0 mm thread with a 4 mm transmucosal section, dimensioned for placement outside the interradicular space

  • Transmucosal section — adapts to and helps maintain the peri-implant soft tissues

  • Tool Kit compatible — placed with the same Morelli spear tip and hexagon keys used across the entire mini screw range

  • Supplied sterile — delivered sterilized and ready for immediate clinical use

Clinical Applications

  • Extra-radicular skeletal anchorage in sites located outside the interradicular space

  • Elastic and spring traction with chains, coil springs or ligatures tied directly to the button head, independent of patient cooperation

  • High-load mechanics that demand more resistance to bending and torsion than titanium can provide

Button head or bracket head?
Choose this stainless steel model when the site is extra-radicular and the mechanics are elastic- or spring-based. When you need to engage a rectangular wire or run a cantilever from an interradicular site, use the Titanium Bracket Head versions instead.
