Tecnident Stainless Steel Kobayashi Shorty Ties .014″ are stainless steel ligature ties with twisted ends forming a hook, used for combined moorings and other dental fixations. At .014″ this is the stiffer of the two gauges, and the shorty format keeps the hook close to the bracket for a lower profile.
Key Features
Stainless steel construction for strength
Hooks with twisted ends for elastic attachment
.014″ gauge — holds heavier intermaxillary traction without opening the hook

.014″ or .012″?
Both give you a ligature and an elastic hook in one piece. The .014″ is the stiffer gauge — it takes heavier elastic traction and keeps the hook in shape, at the cost of being less forgiving to twist. Choose .012″ when the tie is mainly for ligation and comfort.
