The Morelli Short Contra-Angle Pick-Up Driver is an 8 mm hexagonal driver used to pick up, insert and remove orthodontic mini-implants (TADs) with a contra-angle handpiece. Manufactured from high-grade stainless steel, it is the shortest stem of the three Morelli contra-angle pick-up drivers and belongs to the Morelli Orthodontic Mini Screw Tool Kit.

Clinical Applications
Open-access mini-implant placement — anterior and buccal sites where the handpiece already reaches the screw head and a long stem would only add leverage.
Skeletal anchorage — installs the mini-screws that provide bone-borne anchorage instead of anchorage taken from adjacent teeth.

Short, medium or long?
The three Morelli contra-angle pick-up drivers differ only in stem length: 8 mm (short), 24 mm (medium) and 41 mm (long). Take the short driver when access is open and you want the tip as close to the handpiece as possible; move up to the medium or the long version when the insertion site is further back and the handpiece head needs extra clearance.
